Every piece of chicken, lamb and beef served at Yassas is sourced exclusively from halal-certified butchers. This is non-negotiable across all venues and has been our practice since day one.
Yassas is a fully licensed venue. We serve beer, wine, cocktails and spirits at all locations. Because of this, we are not a halal-certified restaurant — but our meat sourcing is fully halal.
Our Southbank flagship offers an extended menu that includes pork dishes. Our Docklands, Eastland and Craigieburn venues are pork-free — serving only our halal-sourced core menu.
We get this question a lot — and we respect that it matters. Whether you eat halal for religious reasons, personal preference, or peace of mind about meat quality, you deserve a straight answer.
