What we serve and how we serve it.
Is Yassas halal?
Yes. All meats at Yassas are sourced from Halal certified butchers across all four venues. Our chicken, lamb and beef are 100% Halal certified. We do not serve pork. This applies to our dine-in menu, catering and function packages.
Do you have vegan options?
Yes. Our menu includes vegan options such as falafel, dolmades, yemista (stuffed vegetables), vegan dips and salads. For set menu events like Mother's Day, we offer a dedicated vegan menu with dips and pita, zucchini wedges, dolmades, choice of yemista or falafel tapsi, and a vegan dessert. Let your server know when ordering.
Do you have gluten free options?
Yes. Gluten free options include our charcoal grilled meats (chicken kalamaki, lamb kebabs, prawn kalamaki), salads, dips, halloumi chips and chips. For set menu events, we offer a dedicated gluten free menu with flourless orange cake for dessert. Please let your server know about any gluten requirements.
What is Yassas known for?
Yassas is known for authentic charcoal grilled Greek food. Our signature dishes include souvlaki, gyros cooked on traditional charcoal spits, lamb kebabs, prawn kalamaki and loukoumades (Greek honey puffs). All meats are Halal certified. We have four Melbourne venues and are popular for family dining, functions and catering.
Do you use charcoal grills?
Yes. Three of our four venues — Southbank, Docklands and Craigieburn — cook on traditional charcoal spits and grills. Eastland uses modern kitchen methods to achieve the same flavours. The charcoal grill is central to how we cook our gyros, souvlaki and kebabs.
Can I see the menu before visiting?
Yes. Our full menu is available at yassas.com.au/menu. The menu is the same across all venues. Prices and specials may vary by location.
Bookings & Groups
How to book a table.
How do I book a table?
You can book online via OpenTable on our website, call us on 0481 997 779, or email eat@yassas.com.au. Walk-ins are welcome but we recommend booking, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings and for groups of 4 or more.
Do I need a booking or can I walk in?
Walk-ins are welcome at all venues, subject to availability. We recommend booking for weekends, public holidays and groups. During busy periods like Mother's Day, bookings are essential as we operate set menus for large groups.
Can I book for a large group?
Yes. We welcome groups of all sizes. For groups of 10 or more, please contact us directly at eat@yassas.com.au or call 0481 997 779. Groups of 9 or more on special event days (like Mother's Day) are served a set menu. Groups of 8 or fewer can order from the regular menu.
Is there a minimum spend for groups?
For casual dining, there is no minimum spend. For private dining rooms and function bookings (10+ guests), set menu packages apply. Contact us for pricing details.

Do kids eat free at Yassas?
Yes. Children under 12 eat free Monday to Thursday at dinner (from 5 pm) at our Docklands, Eastland and Craigieburn venues. One free kids' main per paying adult. What's on the kids' menu?
Our kids' menu includes souvlaki, chicken nuggets, fish and chips, pasta and calamari and chips. All kids' mains are available at every venue. These are the items included in the Kids Eat Free offer.
Is Yassas family-friendly?
Yes. We are a family restaurant and welcome children of all ages. We have high chairs available, a dedicated kids' menu, and our Kids Eat Free offer runs Monday to Thursday at dinner at three of our four venues. Our halal-certified menu means the whole family can eat together regardless of dietary requirements.

Can I host a christening or baptism at Yassas?
Yes. We are one of Melbourne's most popular venues for christenings and baptisms. We offer set menu packages for groups from 10 to 200+ guests, with private dining rooms and full venue hire available. Our Halal certified menu suits diverse guest lists. Contact us to discuss your event.
What is the maximum capacity for a function?
Southbank can seat up to 500+ guests across dining and private spaces. Craigieburn seats up to 200 guests with a private bar area. Docklands seats up to 100 guests with a private dining room for 50. Eastland seats up to 80 guests for full venue hire.

How many Yassas restaurants are there?
There are four Yassas venues in Melbourne: Southbank (our flagship riverside venue at Southgate), Docklands (at The District near Marvel Stadium), Eastland (at Eastland Shopping Centre in Ringwood), and Craigieburn (at Craigieburn Central). All venues serve the same core menu with Halal certified meats.
Is there parking at Yassas?
Yes. Eastland and Craigieburn both have free parking at their shopping centres. Docklands has The District car park and street parking nearby. Southbank has the Southgate car park directly below the venue. Valet parking may be available at Southbank for private functions.
What are the opening hours?
Hours vary by venue. Southbank: Mon–Thu 11:30 am – 9 pm, Fri–Sat 11:30 am – 10 pm, Sun 11:30 am – 9 pm. Docklands: Mon–Thu 11:30 am – 8 pm, Fri–Sat 11:30 am – 9:30 pm, Sun 11:30 am – 8 pm.
